謝謝國民帶給我們的這個賽季


The Nationals’ 2014 season, filled with so much excitement and promise,
ended sooner in the playoffs than many expected, but what a wild, eventful
ride it was. The Doug Fister trade in the winter. Matt Williams’s hiring.
His first season. All the injuries, from Wilson Ramos to Ryan Zimmerman
(twice) to Bryce Harper to Gio Gonzalez. Early defensive miscues and later
improvement. Harper’s benching. The dominant starting pitching. The bad
losses to the Braves. Fister’s stellar start against them.

2014年雖然結束的比預期的更早，但也發生了很多不平凡的事。

Bounce-back seasons from Adam LaRoche and Denard Span. A summer of torrid
hitting from Span. Jayson Werth’s hitting, too. Ian Desmond’s third 20-20
year. The wild extra-inning games. Harper’s return and controversial
comments. The 10-game winning streak. The four walk-off wins in five games.
Stephen Strasburg’s adjustments and first playoff start. Rafael Soriano’s
strong first half and second-half struggles. Drew Storen’s dominant season
and resurgence as closer. The team’s second-half romp. The clinching in
Atlanta. The best record in the NL. Jordan Zimmermann’s great season capped
by a no-hitter and Steven Souza’s memorable catch on the last day of the
regular season. The playoff build-up. The close losses to the Giants and an
early exit.

臘肉和Span的反彈，Span和Werth長時間的火熱打擊，Desmond第三度20-20，

Much will be remembered about this season, and my colleague Adam Kilgore and
I were glad to have covered it all for you. Thanks for following along this
season here on Nationals Journal and the rest of our coverage. Thanks for
interacting with us, keeping us honest and reading all that we posted.

offseason. There is still plenty of be covered, from the Nationals’ plans to

stream of content, information and interesting tidbits here. We will soon
roll out reviews of the season and evaluations by position, examine top free
agents, looks at the farm system and top prospects and more. Our first
installment on the positional reviews will start soon.

The 2015 season opener is April 6. Pitchers and catchers report in roughly
four months. This morning post will return then, too. Have a safe and happy
