CAMEROON Hamidou: 6 - Looked uncomfortable claiming crosses in his own area. No chance on any of the goals. Made a great save on Tomasson to keep his side in game but it was just not to be tonight. Assou-Ekotto: 5 - He was burned time and time again by Rommedahl and it was his terrible positioning that that led to Denmark’s first goal. A match to forget for the Tottenham man. Bassong: 6 - Could not handle the off-the-ball movement of both Bendtner and Rommedahl. He made way for a more attacking option on Idrissou when his team went a goal behind. N’Koulou: 6 - Had problems dealing with the two Danish strikers and was fortunate that Tomasson forgot his shooting boots or Denmark would have killed off the game with 15 minutes to spare. Mbia: 6.5 - The Marseille man was tipped by many pundits to be one of the breakout stars of the tournament but instead Cameroon had been eliminated. He had great chance to give his side the lead in the 46th minute but Sorensen tipped his header over the bar. Geremi: 6 - The veteran was entrusted with his side’s set piece deliveries but they were inconsistent at best tonight. His best days are surely behind him. Enoh: 5 – Anonymous for large chunks of the first 45 minutes and it was no surprise that he did not appear after the half-time interval. Song: 6 - Handed a starting berth tonight and repaid his coach’s faith in him by making a goal-saving block on Tomasson near the end of the first half. Did the dirty work but Arsenal team-mate Bendtner got the better of him and will surely hear about it at the Emirates next season. Emana: 7.5 - He was dangerous whenever he had the ball at his feet. Almost scored in the 12th minute with a low daisy-cutter and then made a fantastic run 30 minutes later that should have ended with a goal. Absolutely robbed by Sorensen in the 77th minute. Unlucky not to find a goal this evening. Webo: 7 - He made a great cut-back pass to set up Eto’o’s goal and harassed and harangued the Danish defence to great effect in the first 45 minutes. Wasteful in the second period though. Eto’o: 8 - The treble winner was handed the central role he was clamouring for and he wasted no time in finding a goal with a tidy finish. Could have doubled his tally before the interval but his shot clanged off the post. Worked hard in the second half and never gave up but will be haunted by the first half miss. Substitutes: Makoun: 5 - Let Rommedahl cut inside and fire Denmark to victory. Idrissou: 6 – Had a number of chances but couldn’t keep his headers down. Aboubakar: 6 - Unable to find the equaliser in his 13-minute cameo. DENMARK Sorensen: 7 - Will have been cross with his defence corps in the first half after they gave the ball away on numerous occasions. Made a great stop to tip Mbia’s header over the bar at the start of the second period and put the exclamation point on his evening with a huge save on Emana to preserve the victory. Jacobsen: 6 - The full-back was not afraid to gallop forward in the first half and more often than not his crosses were decent. His miskick almost gifted Cameroon a great chance in the 47th minute. Kjaer: 7.5 - The Palermo man showed his offensive capabilities with a diagonal long ball to Rommedahl, which led to Bendtner’s goal. Almost fooled Hamidou with a long range effort. His stock continues to rise with every match plated but will miss the crunch clash against Japan after picking up a late yellow. Agger: 6 - Looked uncomfortable trying to deal with Cameroon’s attacking triumvirate. His defending was skittish at times and had a barrel of problems dealing with Eto’o. Improved after the interval though. S. Poulsen: 6 - Continued where he left off after his unfortunate own-goal against Netherlands as he gave the ball away needlessly on more than one occasion when the Danish defence was out of sorts in the first half. Like the rest of the back four he improved after the break. Rommedahl: 8.5 - The veteran winger still has some pace and used it to great effect as he absolutely roasted Assou-Ekotto on a regular basis. His great cross set up Bentdner’s goal before he won the match for his side with a classy finish. Man of the match tonight. Jorgensen: 5 - The midfield anchorman was replaced at the interval after a poor first 45 minutes in which Cameroon had their way with the Danes and could have been up a goal or two. C. Poulsen: 6 - You take the good with the bad with Poulsen. He showed his offensive touch with an excellent through ball to Rommedahl in the seventh minute but followed that up with a dreadful error moments later that directly led to Eto’o’s opener. Defended with all his worth in the last 20 minutes. Gronkjaer: 6 – Solid showing from the former Chelsea man tonight. Did all that was asked of him and will have pleased his manager with his workmanlike performance. Tomasson: 6.5 - Had numerous opportunities to equal or break Denmark’s international goalscoring record tonight. Got himself into good positions but could not deliver in front of goal. Bendtner: 8 – He was a threat all evening long. The Cameroon defence could not handle him and scored Denmark’s first goal with a simple tap-in. Provided the assist for Rommedahl’s winner and showed some character by playing with a niggling groin injury. Substitutes: Jensen: 7 - Great tackle in his own area to deny Assou-Ekotto at the start of the second half. A big improvement over Jorgensen. Kahlenberg: 6.5 - A good 23-minute showing from the Wolfsburg midfielder. J. Poulsen: NA – Time-wasting substitution. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.112.241.67
