Douchin Yoshikuni and Kaname Kawabata(23and22 years of age respectively),
formed musical duo CHEMISTRY when they won an audition out of 20,000
contestants on a popular Japanese TV show. Their debut single "PIECES OF
A DREAM" (March/2001) sold over a million copies, bringing them instant
stardom. Their second single "Point of No Return"(June/2001) marked sales
of over 800,000 copies, and their third single "You Go Your Way" topped
the charts. 8 months after their debut, on November 7th, CHEMISTRY
released their first album "The Way We Are", selling 2 million copies by
the following day! Sales are still growing, with the number of 3 million
just days away. From high-pitched tones to falsetto, Douchin's sensitive
and temperate singing captures the listener's heart, while Kawabata sings
with unbelievably rich voice and rhythm, full of emotion. Together with
their spectacular vocal skills and recognition, they continue to pave
their way into a new legacy in the Japanese music scene as Superstar of
a new generation.
