「目前外界常見的日本紙莎草有2 個不同的植株形態，一種植株較高，小穗成熟時仍不
明顯，花序呈黃綠色，莖桿橫切面為三角形，莖桿表面有縱向缺刻；另一種植株較矮
，小穗較明顯，成熟時呈深褐色，莖桿橫切面近似圓形，表面光滑無缺刻，前者株型
株色較佳，較適合水生景觀利用；後者則多利用於切枝生產用，莖感質地較結實，採
收後較不易折損。生育適溫範圍廣，在台灣四季皆可生長，惟春夏秋季生長速度快，
冬季則明顯較慢。」

植株較傳統天使花高，花朵也比較稀疏，只是花色比較特別，
栽培難易度不高，很適合當花壇植物。
