新加坡人只要吐口水就要坐牢？
You can say that Singapore is the cleanest country in the world.
Although the government has gave people sufficient freedom, you will be
punished if you break the law in Singapore, no matter you are a Singaporean
or a foreigner. Even people who just litter a scrap of paper, spit, or go to
bathroom without cleanse it, they have to pay for the fine if someone accuse
them. If you had no money to pay, you might be jailed! It is thus clear that
Singapore government will never connive the "illegal freedom!"
A American youngster was punished for spraying paint in the street,
and it trigger the problem of international diplomacy; in American opinion,
the way which Singaporeans punishs their citizens by smacking their bottom is
preety barbarous and cruel. But Singaporeans just think they carry out the
punishment according to law, not meaning anything else
In addition, if a Singaporean officeholder commits a crime, they would be
punished doubly. It is because of their ample salary, thus in Singapore it
hardly hears the event which officeholders commit a crime or make a
corruption!
