Philippe Mexes has added extra spice to the title race by saying that Roma will
win the Scudetto if Inter fail to beat Torino this weekend.
With five games for season remaining, Inter hold a four point-lead at the top
of the table over second-placed Roma.
The Nerazzurri arguably have the harder run-in, and tomorrow evening they face
a tricky trip to the stadio Olimpico to play Torino.
Roma meanwhile have a relatively straightforward match later today against
botton-of-the-table Livorno, a team that have not win in seven games.
"If Inter do not win against Torino, for me it is our Scudetto," Mexes
confidently told sky sport Italia.
After a rocky start to the season, Mexes has been in superb from in recent
months, and he was an absoluterock during last week' s 3-1 wins at Udinese.
Despite this pedigree it is looking unlikely that the Frenchman will travel to
Euro 2008, as he has an uneasy relationship with Les Bleus boss Raymond
Domenech.
