Professor Mariani: Roma Captain Francesco Totti On The Mend
The doctor says everything is going according to plan and ‘Er Pupone’ could
recover in time for next Sunday’s trip to Milan.
Roma striker Francesco Totti underwent a scan on Friday to assess his
recovery rate after sustaining a knee injury during last week’s 2-1 win over
Napoli.
The 33-year-old has vowed to do his best to be ready for the upcoming visit
to San Siro and Professor Pier Paolo Mariani has now offered a ray of hope
for the Giallorossi fans.
“Totti is on the mend,” Mariani admitted to forzaroma.info. “His condition
is good and the MRI scan revealed that the knee is healing. And I have to say
that the bandage which was applied soon after he felt the problem had a
positive impact in not weighing down further on the limb.
“He will resume training more intensely on Tuesday. He is fine and very
relaxed and that’s what matters, particularly in the wake of his previous
injuries.
“If he is optimistic for the clash with Milan, then so am I…”
