INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR QUANTUM MATERIALS
PEKING UNIVERSITY, CHINA
The International Center For Quantum Materials (ICQM), Peking University,
China, invites applications for the tenured/tenure-track faculty positions
and the postdoctoral positions in the fields of the experimental and
theoretical condensed matter physics, material physics, and the related
areas.
ICQM is a newly founded research facility in Peking University, dedicated to
create a basic research platform which will bring in the internationally
renowned scientists as well as the excellent young researchers from the
different areas of the condensed matter and material physics, and enable
them to work together in a synergetic way.
The center will sponsor 30 permanent positions (tenured andtenure-track
faculty members) and 100 non-permanent positions (Ph. D students and
postdoctoral fellows), which are now opened for applications.
Positions and Qualifications
We are seeking exceptional candidates for all levels of faculty positions,
including distinguished chair professors, tenured full/associate professors,
as well as tenure track associate/assistant professors.
The candidate should have a Ph.D in a relevant discipline, an outstanding
record of research accomplishments, and the capability to organize and
manage a research group comprised of the postgraduate students and
postdoctors.
The level of the position will be assigned based on individual's working
experience and research performance. In particular, the candidates seeking
for the distinguished chair position must be a world renown scientist in a
relevant discipline.
We are also seeking the qualified candidates for the postdoctoral positions.
The candidate should have acquired Ph.D in a relevant discipline during the
last 3 years, have a good record of research accomplishments, and could
work collaboratively with the faculty members in the center.
Salary and Benefits
All the newly hired faculty members will be provided the necessary startup
resource and research infrastructures. Annual stipends range from 250K to
550K RMB (equivalent to US $37,000-81,000), based on individual's hired
level. The salary for the distinguished chair professor is negotiable. Other
benefits such as the housing subsidy will also be provided.
The postdoctoral fellow will be provided an annual stipend ranged from 100K
to 200K RMB (equivalent to US $15,000-30,000), based on individual's
experience and research performance.
Housing subsidy will also be provided.
