Agassi Advances Former champion Andre Agassi made a winning start to his 2004 Pacific Life Open campaign after defeating Spain’s David Sanchez in straight sets on Saturday. Agassi, the 2001 winner making his 16th appearance in the tournament, took just 63 minutes to book his place in the third round against either Dominik Hrbaty or Xavier Malisse. "I felt good,” said Agassi. “It was a good match-up for me. He gave me a chance in the first match, gave me a chance to hit a lot of balls. But I was in control of most of the points, which I obviously like. I felt good about every part of my game today. It was a good start for me.” Agassi, who missed last year’s Pacific Life Open due to a shoulder injury, converted four of his eight break point chances en route to his 30th match-win in Indian Wells. “ "It's been a few weeks since I've played,” said Agassi. “I've been working hard. I'm anxious to get out there, looking forward to settling into my game. I want to play well here. I've been injured here two years in a row. Haven't played well here in a while. I felt very motivated to sort of come out and get myself comfortable and feel my game. ” -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.119.137.77
