Does the warmth of the ocean represent hell? Nate Sr. does not want to go in, he clearly states "I'm not going in there!" When he asks David if he is going in and David says no. Nates ride in the wagon represent life (land) and death (water) as in the title of the show - ecotone- the meeting of two eco systems. Is Maggie the angel of death? She wears blue all the time, at the hospital she is in black.
