LOUIS -- The Cardinals' season flashed before their eyes for just a moment on Tuesday night, but the club found out on Wednesday that everything seems to be OK after all. Albert Pujols sustained a bruise on his left wrist in Tuesday's game against the Brewers. As the slugger swiped a tag on Bill Hall on a double play in the second inning, Hall banged into Pujols' glove hand. Adam Kennedy's throw from second base drew Pujols off the bag a bit, forcing him to tag the runner rather than simply touching the base. On a chilly night, Pujols was clearly stung by the play, and head athletic trainer Barry Weinberg came out to tend to him. "He doesn't ever complain unless he feels something, so he felt something at the time," manager Tony La Russa said. Pujols, however, said he felt just fine on Wednesday afternoon. The Cardinals' training staff cleared the slugger to play, and he was in his usual No. 3 spot in the batting order and at first base. "I feel all right," Pujols said. "I feel good, man."
