News Flash: The LAA Rally Monkey was admitted to the UCLA veterinary hospital
early this morning suffering from what doctors diagnosed as acute anxiety and
depression... "we do not believe that the primate's distress will be
alleviated anytime soon and we recommend he be placed on the disabled list
for the next 5-6 months". Additionally, the doctors dignosed a severe case of
inflammation of the upper vertebrae. When the monkey was asked if he has been
in a recent car accident, Rally replied... "No, but the pain has only showed
up during the past 2 games". Doctors quickly determined that the little
critter's dilemma stemmed from constant twisting of the neck, most probably
due to watching the numerous home runs hit by the NYYankees, especially those
by a certain Mr. Rodriguez."
