書中部份材料為當時日軍(學生軍、神風特攻隊?)的日記 並且加以分析
出版社推書的口吻 感覺上這本書在美國兼顧市場(話題性、大家想知道)跟學術的作品
作者有他想討論的東西 我猜測是透過歷史來談日本文化
但是因為描寫方式有故事及真實性 (封面) 所以可能很吸引人吧
加上 跟其他時事、媒體呼應 (現在談日本文化還有市場嗎?)
