Wenger categorically denied that Barcelona's Javier Saviola, who helped
Sevilla win the Uefa Cup on loan last season, is a target. The Argentina
striker's agent Alfredo Cabrera Brizuela had said that his future "points to
the Gunners".
Wenger said this is untrue. "
We are not interested in Saviola at all," he
said. "I have enough forward players [strikers]. We have bought [Tomas]
Rosicky. We have [Freddie] Ljungberg, [Robin] Van Persie, [Jose' Antonio]
Reyes, [Thierry] Henry, [Emmanuel] Adebayor, [Theo] Walcott, [Nicklas]
Bendtner, [Je're'mie] Aliadie`re and [Arturo] Lupoli. Where do I put the
strikers?"There are requirements elsewhere on the pitch, such as finding a
long-term replacement for Jens Lehmann despite his impressive World Cup
showing. Wenger is uninterested in any Juventus player because he claims it
would be "impossible" to pay them what they receive at present which is why
he is not being tempted to try to sign their goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.
簡單說就是 槍手前場太多人 所以對小兔不感興趣
(雖然那也是事實 不過看到小兔被拒絕還是難過了一下)
所以現在還剩下 Bolton, Newcastle, PSV, Panathinaikos 四家
