On Thursday the promising Argentine goalkeeper told the press he is “happy to be in Rome and to play for Lazio”, as soon as he arrived at the airport in Fiumicino, after his long flight from Buenos Aires, Argentina. “I’m happy for this opportunity to play in a great club, but I know it won’ t be easy [for the fans] to forget Angelo Peruzzi, I assure to the supporters that I will give my best”, he said. Carrizo (23) affirmed he expects to “triumph” in the Italian capital like former Argentine international striker Abel Balbo, who did so for so many years when he played for city rivals AS Roma. The Argentine, who was Alfio Basile’s second choice goalkeeper at the recently ended Copa America, behind Getafe’s Roberto Abbondanzieri, will do the necessary paper work to obtain an Italian passport on Friday. “Tomorrow, after I complete my medical, I will do the paper work to get my Italian passport ready”, he concluded. Carrizo signed a contract with the Rome based club for five seasons, and the deal will be completely finalized by River’s directors in the next few hours. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.112.114.15
