OFFICIAL: Lyon Sign Porto Striker Lisandro Lopez
Olympique Lyonnais have completed the signing of Porto striker Lisandro
Lopez, the Portuguese club have confirmed.
According to a statement issued by Porto to the Portuguese stock market, the
two clubs have agreed a €24million deal for Lisandro, a fee that could rise
to as much as €28 million depending upon the player's performances.
The Argentina international is expected in Lyon in the coming days to
finalise the move upon passing a medical.
This transfer brings to an end a lengthy transfer saga which had lasted since
rumours of an exit by Karim Benzema began to surface.
'Licha' will now fill the shoes of the Real Madrid star, with Lyon spending
most of the €35 million received from the Spanish giants.
Lisandro, who joined Porto from Racing Club in 2005 for €2,5 million, made
28 league appearances for the Dragons last season, scoring 10 goals.
