Arsenal winger Robert Pires, speaking to Le Progres, reckons that his team
mate and close friend Thierry Henry has changed since being given the
captain's armband at Arsenal.
Doubts were raised over the choice of Henry as captain, but the Frenchman's
fine form in recent matches has suggested that Henry is coping well with this
new level of responsibility.
Pires said: "I think that being captain has changed Thierry (Henry), it has
canalised him.
"It has made him more peaceful on the pitch.
"This armband has transformed him.
"The coach didn't give him it by chance, I knew what he did.
"He has became an excellent captain who shows the good example to his
players."
