JOSE REYES has sparked fury at Arsenal by posing in a Real Madrid shirt.


Real target Reyes, 22, was happily snapped pulling on the famous white jersey.

And former Gunners star Nigel Winterburn rapped: “I’d never have done that.
”

The winger has been trying to engineer a move to Madrid behind Arsenal boss
Arsene Wenger’s back.

Spaniard Reyes, 22, keeps giving interviews in Spain saying he is unhappy in
London and wants a switch to the Bernabeu.

When Arsenal pull him up on his remarks he insists he wants to stay.

But the damning photos printed in Spanish newspaper Marca yesterday will
drive a wedge between himself and Gunners supporters.

West Ham fans never forgave Paul Ince for being pictured in a Manchester
United shirt before his move to Old Trafford in 1989.

Reyes’ photos were taken just before Arsenal faced Real in last season’s
Champions League.

And Winterburn, 42, blasted: “It hardly helps his situation, does it? You
have to be careful about putting on opposition shirts when you are being
linked to a club.”

Defender Sergio Ramos pleaded with pal Reyes to join him at Real.

Ramos said: “It would be a joy if he signed.”
