Serie B outfit Genoa are believed to be lining up a move for Arsenal defender
Pascal Cygan, who is in the final year of his contract.
The Frenchman was badly hampered by injuries last season and has slipped down
the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium, with Arsene Wenger likely to allow
him to leave.
Kolo Toure and Johan Djourou started the opening game against Aston Villa as
the centre-back partnership while Philippe Senderos is believed to be close
to full fitness.
Genoa have yet to make an official approach for the 32-year-old, but have
admitted that they are keen to bring in an experienced stopper to aid a push
for promotion to Serie A.
