Arsenal captain Cesc Fàbregas accuses Emmanuel Adebayor over stamp on him
隊長指控缺德八約踢人

While Manchester City have accepted Adebayor's three-match ban for the clash
that left Van Persie with a bloodied head, attention is now switching to an
earlier challenge in last Saturday's game which Arsenal believe was missed by
referee Mark Clattenburg. Television replays clearly show Adebayor treading
down with his studs on Fàbregas's leg as the Arsenal captain won the ball.

Fàbregas was questioned about this after Arsenal's 3-2 Champions League
victory against Standard Liège on Wednesday night and simply lifted his
tracksuits bottoms to reveal a significant wound on his lower left calf. "I
think this is a red card here," he said, pointing to the injury, "I was lucky
my foot was in the air when it happened."

Arsenal have already accused Adebayor of deliberately stamping on Van
Persie's head, while manager Arsène Wenger has expressed his "deep shock" at
the Togo forward's apparent antagonism towards his old club.

Fàbregas described his former team-mate's behaviour as "a bit strange" and
was at a loss to rationalise what had happened. "All I tried to do when he
was at Arsenal was to create opportunities for him to score so I think I
didn't do too bad for him," said Fàbregas. "It is a bit strange. I have no
idea [why he acted like this]. We always respected him.

Emmanuel Eboué was among Adebayor's best friends at Arsenal, but welcomed
confirmation yesterday that he would be suspended for violent conduct and
outlined his deep disappointment at the Togo forward's behaviour.
大師雖然在隊上是阿德最好的朋友,無奈這樣粗暴的行為人神共憤,大師對他感到深深
失望

"Adebayor didn't do well and that is no good for football because you have a
lot of young people who watch the game," he said. "The FA gave him a
three-game ban so I am very, very happy about that. I know him, I think he
will think about that and he will take it on and now he will try to play his
game. I am very disappointed about it, very disappointed."

Eboué has not talked to Adebayor since Saturday but said that Kolo Toure,
the former Arsenal player, did apologise immediately after the game. "In the
dressing room, we were very disappointed because we don't know what happened
to Adebayor. When he was in our team, we were together, we did everything
together and so we don't know what happened," Eboué said.
大師在上禮拜六也不爽跟阿德說話,倒是前隊友托雷很甘心的來道歉,他說他也搞不清楚
缺德八約是吃錯了什麼藥

"After that Kolo has come into our dressing room. He said 'sorry' to everyone
and that was very, very nice. If Ade calls me, I'll speak with him. If he
calls me, I say 'Thank you God', if he doesn't call me, that's his problem. I
think about my team."

Adebayor denied any malice in the Van Persie challenge and will avoid any
additional punishment for the Fàbregas tackle, although a charge of improper
conduct for celebrating his goal in front of the Arsenal supporters remains
outstanding.
雖然缺德八約可以多過暗算隊長這筆帳,但是他進球後惡意挑釁阿森納球迷的舉動可不
能就這樣算了

Fàbregas refused to say whether Arsenal's dressing room was happier
following the departure of Adebayor for ￡25 million, although several
players have remarked on the improved spirit this season. "I feel now that
the team has grown up, we have grown up together – we are more focused now,"
added Eboué.
隊長拒絕說明叛徒八約離開對隊上氣氛的影響,大師說:我感受到我們正在向上提升,
並且更加團結的面對每場比賽
