Emirates 100: The top 10 games... so far
Saturday's Premier League game against Stoke City will be the 100th
competitive first-team fixture at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal have enjoyed some highs - and a few lows - since the ground opened in
July 2006 with Dennis Bergkamp's testimonial.
Here, Arsenal.com reporter Chris Harris selects his top 10 matches at the
Emirates so far. And we want you to have your say too.

Arsenal 2-1 Ajax
Dennis Bergkamp Testimonial, 22-7-2006
As one era ended, another one started. The first game at Emirates Stadium was
also the last in the career of the legendary Dennis Bergkamp. The stars came
out for the Dutch master and a full house paid tribute while they enjoyed a
first look around their Club's new home. The result was largely irrelevant
but, for the record, Klaas Jan Huntelaar gave Ajax the lead before Thierry
Henry and Kanu struck in the second half to give Bergkamp a winning farewell.
Emirates Stadium and Highbury
Arsenal 2-1 Manchester United
Premier League, 21-01-2007
Tottenham and Liverpool had already been beaten at Arsenal's new home when
Manchester United visited early in 2007 but this was the first time a big
Emirates Stadium game had a big slice of drama. Wayne Rooney put the visitors
ahead seven minutes after half-time with a header from Patrice Evra's cross
but Robin Van Persie slid in to rifle an equaliser into the roof of the net
seven minutes from time. That seemed to be that but even better was to follow
as Thierry Henry powered a header past Edwin van der Sar in stoppage time.
Arsenal 3-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Carling Cup, 31-01-2007
Arsenal reached their first League Cup Final in 14 years at the expense of
local rivals Tottenham after this frantic battle at the Emirates. Spurs had
thrown away a two-goal advantage in the first leg and Emmanuel Adebayor's
77th-minute goal put Arsenal ahead on aggregate for the first time. But
Mido's header forced extra time and cranked up the tension. Jeremie Aliadiere
hooked the hosts back in front at the end of the first period and Tomas
Rosicky's deflected effort finally finished off Spurs.
Arsenal 7-0 Slavia Prague
UEFA Champions League, 23-10-2007
A consummate Champions League display and arguably the night Theo Walcott
really established himself in the Arsenal team. The teenager scored twice and
ran Slavia ragged from the first minute to the last. Cesc Fabregas and Alex
Hleb got the ball rolling before Walcott made it 3-0 before half-time.
Arsenal were even better after the break, conjuring up magnificent team goals
for Hleb, Walcott and Fabregas. Nicklas Bendtner added a seventh in the dying
seconds as Arsenal matched their best ever victory in European competition.
Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Premier League, 22-12-2007
Christmas came early for Arsenal fans with this breathless North London derby
win over their old foes. Emmanuel Adebayor gave the hosts the lead early in
the second half but Dimitar Berbatov levelled and Spurs were on the cusp of
leading when they were awarded a penalty. Step forward two new heroes. First
Manuel Almunia pushed aside Robbie Keane's spot-kick. Then, 15 minutes from
time, Nicklas Bendtner came off the bench to power home a close-range header
with his first touch.
Arsenal 0-0 AC Milan
UEFA Champions League, 20-02-2008
Arsenal have had more successful Champions League nights since their ground
opened - the win over Villarreal in April springs to mind. But Milan's visit
represented the first great European night at the Emirates and the first
chance for Arsenal's fans to see some of the continent's stellar names at the
stadium. Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Nesta, Kaka, Clarence Seedorf, Andrea
Pirlo and Alexandre Pato all started the first leg of this last-16 clash and,
despite their glowing reputations, they were lucky to escape with a draw.
They would not be so lucky a fortnight later in the San Siro.
Arsenal 6-0 Sheffield United
Carling Cup, 23-09-2008
If you want value for money, go to Emirates Stadium on Carling Cup night.
These ties have a special atmosphere, tickets are cut to a special price and
the young Gunners almost always put on a special performance. This game saw
Arsène Wenger select the youngest ever side to represent Arsenal and they
did him proud. A strong Championship outfit were brushed aside by a vintage
display and six goals. Carlos Vela scored a hat-trick on his full debut,
Nicklas Bendtner added a brace and Jack Wilshere opened his account for the
Club. And it was all done with incredible style.
Arsenal 2-1 Manchester United
Premier League, 08-11-2008
The build-up to this game was full of doom and gloom thanks to three games
without a win and a fading title challenge. But Arsenal's Premier League
hopes were reignited with an outstanding display against the champions in the
pouring rain. Samir Nasri got both goals. The first came in the 22nd minute
via a deflection, the second via a superb Arsenal passing move just after
half time. Rafael’s stoppage-time volley prompted some nervous
fingernail-chewing in the dying seconds but the hosts held on to record a
famous victory.
Arsenal 4-0 Blackburn Rovers
Premier League, 14-03-2009
The day Andrey Arshavin announced his arrival as an Arsenal legend in the
making. The little Russian played a part in Andre Ooijer's early own goal
and, in the 65th minute, he scored a goal to be proud of. Collecting a pass
from Denilson on the left, Arshavin dropped a shoulder, shimmied past Danny
Simpson and found the perfect trajectory from the acutest of angles to lift
the ball over Paul Robinson and into the top corner. Even more impressively,
he managed it despite having stitches in a foot wound at half-time. Emmanuel
Eboue grabbed a brace in the closing stages but the day belonged to Arshavin.
08/09 Arsenal 4-0 Blackburn Rovers - Andrey Arshavin
Arsenal 3-0 Tottenham Hotspur
Premier League, 31-10-2009
You can't beat the feeling of a North London derby victory and this game gave
Arsenal fans arguably their happiest minute so far at the Emirates. Half-time
was approaching and Spurs had matched their rivals for much of the game but
that all changed in the blink of an eye. First Robin Van Persie converted
Bacary Sagna's cross, then straight from the kick-off Cesc Fabregas won the
ball, beat three men and slammed in a second. Cue pandemonium. Van Persie
grabbed a third after the break to send the Arsenal fans home very, very
happy.
