Szczesny - 5
FORTUNATE to escape after flattening Blues' Lee Bowyer in the box in third
minute and was rescued by incorrect offside flag. Mix-up with defender
Laurent Koscielny gifted Blues winner.

Sagna - 7
HIS usual self. The France right-back was solid defensively and a powerful
runner going forward. Had a good battle with Blues substitute Jean Beausejour
in the second half.

Djourou - 5
SWISS defender really struggled to cope with Brum's 6ft 8in striker Zigic and
gave possession to Jean Beausejour early in second half as Fahey hit a post.
Not good display.

Koscielny - 5
FORTUNATE to stay on after early lunge on Bowyer who had broken clear. Did
not deal well with Zigic in the first half and committed an absolute howler
for Blues winner. Booked.

GREAT match-up with Sebastian Larsson throughout. Predictably, he was never
beaten for pace - but too often he stood off the winger and allowed him to
get his crosses over. Booked.

COMBATIVE against Brum's energetic midfielders Bowyer and Fahey but he was
barely in the game otherwise. His head really went down when Blues scored
their late winner.

HAS magic feet and twice the gifted attacker used his trickery to get into
excellent shooting positions but was unable to find a finish. He looked a
real threat whenever he was on the ball.

FADED in and out of the game. Touch was as classy as ever but there was
minimal attacking threat from the England starlet. Confrontation with Bowyer
showed he is always up for it.

FIRED good chance wide early in second half and nothing really came off for
the Czech midfielder. He was guilty of giving possession away cheaply at

SCORED his 13th goal in 11 games with fantastic finish. But got injured in
scoring the goal and did not really recover from the knock. Was replaced on
69 minutes with Barcelona in mind.

SHARP run and excellent cross for the leveller in a very lively first-half
display, but he then faded badly after the break and was replaced by Moroccan
striker Marouane Chamakh.

REPLACED Van Persie who injured a knee scoring the equaliser. Was a handful
for the tiring Brum defence, but poor control let him down.

THE Moroccan hitman was given the chance to make amends for some recent poor
displays, but never got up with the pace of the play.

Foster - 8 DREAM TEAM STAR MAN
GOOD early save to deny Arshavin and then four saves in five minutes in
second half demonstrated his class, denying Nasri twice, Rosicky and
Bendtner.
Carr - 8
GAVE everything against the pace and trickery of Arsenal's attackers. Brum's
Mr Reliable. At 34, he still churned up the Wembley turf. Winner 12 years
after lifting cup with Spurs.

Johnson - 7
SET up Blues opener with huge leap to nod on for Zigic and then gave a
wonderfully committed defensive display much like he has done all season.
Virtually could not walk at the end.
Jiranek - 7
TWO early tackles but lost Robin van Persie for the goal. Stood up well to
immense pressure from Arsenal strikeforce in second half. In his ninth Blues
game and already a hero.
Ridgewell - 6
LEFT-BACK struggled with the trickery of Samir Nasri and Andrey Arshavin
early on but really grew in confidence as the game went on. Little attacking
threat but did his job.
Larsson - 7
DELIVERY excellent and gave Clichy real problems down the right. His contract
is up for renewal in the summer but on this display, Blues need to get a deal
done quickly.

Ferguson - 7
KEPT it simple as always and made vital blocks from Wilshere and Nasri
through-balls. Had little influence going forward but his job was to protect
his back four - and he did it expertly.
Gardner - 6
BATTLED hard but little attacking threat from the man who fired Blues into
this final with semi goal against West Ham. Subbed just after half-time and
was furious with his manager.
Bowyer - 8
BUNDLE of energy, covered an incredible amount of ground, made tackles,
blocks and was threat going forward. Should have had penalty when incorrectly
flagged offside after three minutes.

Fahey - 7
SURPRISE pick in midfield ahead of strikers Martins or Jerome but did not
disappoint. Energetic display and hit a post with 55th-minute shot. Never
stopped battling.
Zigic - 7
CONSTANT threat. Won virtually everything in the air and scored the opener
with towering flick. Was labelled a flop when he arrived but what a great
signing he looks right now.

Beausejour (Gardner 49) - 7
CAME on for Gardner who was less than pleased with being hooked. Got forward
well and gave both Bacary Sagna and Johan Djourou problems

FORMER Newcastle man got the chance to become hero for the day when he
pounced on a huge mix-up to hit the winner.
