July 18, 2005, 1:17AM Rocket leaves with son to Greeneville Astros ace to watch Koby's first outings in minors By JOSE DE JESUS ORTIZ Copyright 2005 Houston Chronicle ST. LOUIS - Third baseman Koby Clemens, the eighth-round pick who signed with the Astros on Thursday, flew to St. Louis with his father Roger on Sunday morning. After Roger Clemens suffered a 3-0 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals, he and Koby headed to Greeneville, Tenn., on Sunday afternoon. "I'm pumped," said Koby, who will begin his professional career today with Rookie League Greeneville. "My dad's going to go down there with me and be there a couple of days." Leaving home for the first time was difficult for the 18-year-old and his mother, Debbie. "She was very upset," Roger Clemens said of his wife. "They were happy tears , though. We've waited as long as we could to go on this journey. He's a man now. I'm going to get to see a couple of his firsts. And then I'll get back and lock in on my job and what I need to do. Koby noticed Greeneville's roster has him with No. 22, the number his father wore with the Yankees and now wears with the Astros. http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/3270101 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.166.130.67
