HOUSTON (TICKER) —The Houston Astros signed infielder David Newhan to a
minor-league contract, the team announced Thursday.

Newhan, 35, hit .260 with two homers and 12 RBI in 64 games for the Astros last
season.

In 413 career games, Newhan is a .253 hitter with 23 homers, 120 RBI and 29
stolen bases.
