From Chronicle Staff Writer Susan Slusser in Kansas City
I just got off the phone with reliever Russ Springer, who is at the airport
heading for Seattle because he has been traded to the Rays.
Springer said the Rays claimed him on waivers and then worked out a deal for
him but he doesn't know the specifics.
