He led the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a .471 batting average, a .928 slugging percentage and a .619 on-base percentage. He was also named National Player of the Year and a First Team All-American by D3baseball.com. JS: http://tinyurl.com/74fbgeb Bruce Maxwell, 1B, Birmingham Southern University: Maxwell is one of the best statistical performers in the college ranks this year, hitting a robust .471/.619/.928 with 25 doubles, 15 homers, 59 walks, and just 11 strikeouts in 153 at-bats. He's a big guy at 6-2, 230 pounds, but isn't just a masher, showing legitimate hitting skills as well as a strong throwing arm. Division III stars face an uphill battle on draft day, but Maxwell has a good track record in summer ball. Given the lack of college hitting talent in the draft this year, he bears close watching. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?P=bruce-maxwell-1 Birmingham- age AB H 2B 3B HR SB CS BB SO avg obp slg 2012 Southern 21 153 72 25 0 15 4 0 59 11 .471 .619 .928 http://bscsports.net/sports/bsb/2011-12/files/TEAMCUME.HTM ------------- 2nd rd #74 Nolan Sanburn Arkansas, AR RHP R/R SO 6'00" 190lbs DOB: 07/21/91 BA National Rank:55 Signed for/Slot money:-/691,000 mlb.com: While fellow Arkansas sophomore pitcher Ryne Stanek narrowly misses being Draft eligible, Sanburn does qualify. And he's been getting plenty of attention. Sanburn has seen most of his action on the Razorbacks out of the bullpen, and while he has started a few games, most see his future as a short reliever. That's probably because of his outstanding two-pitch power arsenal. Sanburn can crank it up into the upper-90s, sitting comfortably at around 95 mph. He complements the plus fastball with a hard, slurvy curve that has some serious bite when he stays on top of it. He generally is around the strike zone, occasionally having trouble keeping the ball down in the zone. He does go right after hitters with a closer-like mentality, a role he could potentially fill at the next level. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 114.34.111.73 ※ 編輯: ThomasHSNU 來自: 114.34.111.73 (06/17 15:05) ※ 編輯: ThomasHSNU (220.135.22.157 臺灣), 06/08/2020 04:32:43
