Just some tips on how to get contact with those hiring ppl. even though it became a lot easier to job hunt via those jobsearch websites, some of the companies (mostly int'l ones) might only advertise their position vacancies on their own website. (however, not necessarily the case for ALL companies though). it could be suggested for potential job hunters to cruise through the companies' website to see if vacancies are available, in addition to using jobsearch websites. Also, find out who is the one going through applications. be sure to acknowledge his/her name in yuor cover letter to show how much background research you have done prior to applying for the job. It is way easier to find yourself a job if you have "contact" with someone in the company you are interested. in most cases, companies will first advertise job vacancies internally to see if ppl within the company have acquantives looking for similiar positions. follow-up is essential in showing your sincerity. if you got rejected, ring up the HR manager (or whoever rejected you or noticed you about the rejection) to ask for their pieces of advise on how to improve your resume or interview skills. Also, ring up for the last sake of chance to see if their are other vacancies that are also (if ot less) suitable for yourbackground and experiences. for uni students who haven't completed their teritary studies, it is suggested to knock on every firm's door to see if any internship, traneeship, or apprenticeship available. submit your resume and cover letter along with your request (just a formal gesture of applying). the most important point of getting internship is not about the monetary reward in return, instead it is about getting your foot into thebusiness you are interested to gain some experiences. after this, when starting looking for career advancements, this will be your time to earn something back for yourself (in $$ terms). ※ 引述《Laird (taiwan No.ONE!!!!)》之銘言: : http://www.mycareer.com.au : http://www.seek.com.au : http://careerone.com.au : http://www.jobsearch.gov.au : http://www.jobnet.com.au : it's important to get job experiences in australia; however, : relatively hard to get one without having PR or citizenship. : FYI -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 150.203.24.3 ※ 編輯: Laird 來自: 150.203.24.3 (10/13 14:02)
