THAI Introduces Direct Flights from Bangkok to Sapporo , Japan
Starting 30 October 2012 Thai Airways International Public Company
Limited (THAI) will fly to its newest destination to Sapporo, Japan
with direct flights from Bangkok, utilizing the Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
Mr. Pandit Chanapai , THAI Executive Vice President of Commercial,
announced that THAI adjusted its marketing plans and strategies not
only to increase travel convenience for passengers bound for Japan ,
but also to support the increase in number of passengers travelling
there.
With Sapporo the capital of Hokkaido province in northern Japan, the
city is the center of cultural, economic and local government.
Each year in February tourists from all over the world converge for
the famous Snow Festival at the Odori Park in Sapporo, and visit other
attractions that include the historic clock tower, the governing office
and the famous Suzukino shopping district.
THAI will operate a total of three flights per week from Bangkok to
Sapporo ’s Chitose Airport, utilizing the A330-300 type aircraft,
starting from 30 October 2012. THAI’s direct service on flight
TG 670 will depart Bangkok on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 23.45
hours and arrive in Sapporo at 08.00 hours local time on the next day.
On the return, flight TG 671 will depart Sapporo on Monday, Wednesday
and Friday at 10.45 hours and arrive in Bangkok at 16.15 hours on the
same day. From 30 December 2012 THAI will operate four flights per
week.
THAI currently flies to five destinations in Japan:
Bangkok – Narita v.v. 21 flights per week
Bangkok – Haneda v.v. 7 flights per week
Bangkok – Nagoya v.v. 11 flights per week
Bangkok – Osaka v.v. 17 flights per week
Bangkok – Fukuoka v.v. 7 flights per week
During this introductory period, THAI has special promotion on fares
for all routes to Japan to thank customers for their loyalty.Economy
Class ticket starts from THB 29,300 and Royal Silk Class ticket starts
from THB 64,920.Cost of tickets includes taxes and surcharges, which
may change subject to foreign currency exchange rate on the date of
ticket issuance.
