LATAM Airlines Group, parent of TAM and LAN Airlines, has chosen membership in
 oneworld over Star Alliance for both carriers.

LATAM航空集團選擇保留寰宇一家的會員資格，包含TAM和LAN兩家航空公司。

Holding an estimated 40% share of the South American air passenger market,
LATAM is making one of the more consequential alliance membership decisions
of recent years. Chilean antitrust authorities required LATAM to leave one of
the alliances when it approved the merger of Chile’s LAN and Brazil’s TAM
in 2011.

LATAM集團掌握40%南美洲航空旅客市場，智利的反托拉斯機構要求該集團在兩家航空公司
合併後必須離開其中一個聯盟。

LAN is a oneworld member while TAM belongs to Star. TAM will leave Star in the
second quarter of 2014, LATAM said in a Thursday statement making the decision
official. Signs have pointed to LATAM choosing oneworld for some time.

原本LAN是寰宇一家成員、TAM是星空聯盟成員。TAM預計於2014年Q2正式退出星空聯盟。
LATAM集團星期四（也就是稍早）正式宣布該消息。

TAM “plans to officially join oneworld as soon as it leaves Star Alliance,”
LATAM said. “From that date, TAM passengers will be able to accumulate
kilometers/points by flying on any oneworld member airline. Until then, they
will continue to receive the benefits offered by Star Alliance.”

TAM將加入寰宇一家，正式加入後將可以透過寰宇一家的成員夥伴累積哩程，但在那之前
TAM的常客依舊可以享受到星空聯盟的利益。

LATAM CEO Enrique Cueto said in a statement, “We evaluated all the existing
possibilities and chose the alliance that offers the best benefits to our
passengers, in addition to the best connectivity and products, as well as the
 greater synergies for LATAM Airlines Group. With the incorporation of LATAM
Airlines Group to oneworld, passengers flying with us will be able to book
trips through the oneworld network of destinations and connect from any of
the 950 destinations, including distant and exotic ones such as Hong Kong,
Kuala Lumpur, Moscow or Melbourne, through oneworld member airlines.”

LATAM的CEO表示，經過評估各種可能性，最後決定留在寰宇一家。除了提供最佳的利益以
外，還考量到連結性、所推出的商品。LATAM集團加入寰宇一家後，旅客將可以藉由寰宇
一家聯盟成員飛到超過950個國際航點，包含香港、吉隆坡、莫斯科、墨爾本。

Oneworld CEO Bruce Ashby added, “We are delighted that, after its
comprehensive review of alliance options, LATAM not only decided to have LAN
remain on board oneworld, but also to include TAM and all the other passenger
airline subsidiaries in the LATAM group as well. This solidifies oneworld’s
long-standing position as the alliance leader in Latin America.”

寰宇一家的CEO也補充，LATAM的加入不僅保留LAN原先在寰宇一家的會籍，更加入了TAM及
其他子公司，這樣的條件更加深了寰宇一家在拉丁美洲領先的地位。

LATAM carrier LAN Colombia will become a oneworld affiliate member in the 2013
 fourth quarter. LAN Argentina, LAN Ecuador and LAN Peru are already oneworld
affiliate carriers.

原先LAN的子公司LAN Colombia也將成為寰宇一家附屬成員，其他子公司包含LAN阿根廷、
厄瓜多、秘魯等均已成為寰宇一家附屬成員。

In addition to LAN, current oneworld members are Air Berlin, American Airlines
, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines,
Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Royal Jordanian and S7 Airlines. In addition to TAM
, SriLankan Airlines and Qatar Airways are slated to become new members.

目前寰宇一家成員包含柏林航空、美航、英航、國泰、芬航、西班牙航空、日航、馬航、
澳航、約旦皇家航空、S7航空。斯里蘭卡航空、卡航即將成為新成員。

US Airways has already said it will leave Star to join oneworld following the
completion of its merger with American.

全美航空也將隨著與美航合併離開星空聯盟加入寰宇一家。
