All Nippon Airways orders three 777-300ERs

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has placed orders for three Boeing 777-300ER
aircraft and a single 767-300 Freighter.

"The introduction of the additional 777-300ERs will further strengthen ANA
Group's long-haul network," says the company.

The order was placed with Boeing on 30 July. The three new aircraft will
arrive in the first six months of 2015.

In addition, the carrier will obtain a new 767-300F for ANA Cargo, but it has
yet to decide whether it will acquire a new aircraft or lease one.

ANA feels that bringing a new 767F into the fleet is preferable to converting
one of its existing 767-300ERs. This will allow the carrier to better take
advantage of slots that open up at airports in the Tokyo area.

Flightglobal's Ascend online database shows that ANA operates 19 General
Electric GE90-powered 777-300ERs and seven Pratt & Whitney PW4000-powered
777-300s.

The 777-300ERs are configured with 247 seats and were delivered between 2003
and 2010, while the 777-300s have a high density configuration of 514 seats
and were delivered between 1997 and 2003.

ANA Cargo has nine 767-300Fs and this figure will grow to ten with the
arrival of the new aircraft. The carrier says the new aircraft will bolster
its Okinawa cargo hub, which facilitates air cargo between Asia-Pacific
countries and North America.

The orders were disclosed in the carrier's strategic update document that
accompanied its first quarter results for its 2013 fiscal year ended 30 June.

只是有點好奇，
ANA之前處分了幾架全新打造的767-300F，
然後使用自家客機改裝的767-300BCF，
767-300BCF應該是比767-300F差，
怎麼會處分自己買的新飛機呢?
然後現在又買了一架，
已經不想再弄767-300BCF了嗎?

另外這筆訂單，
不知道是打幾折換來的，
還是其實ANA只想買77W，
波音為了賠償787的損失，
所以送了一架767-300F (大誤)。
