Featured Speaker: Dr. Richard C. Bush
Dr. Richard C. Bush has worked on China and Taiwan issues his entire
professional career: at the American Institute in Taiwan, where he served as chairman and
managing director from 1997-2002. He has also been Director for Minority Liaison, US
House Committee on International Relations (1995); Director for Committee Liaison,
US House Committee of Foreign Affairs (1994); Deputy Program Director, Program
Associate, China Council of The Asia Society. He has written extensively on such
subjects as East Asia, Taiwan, US-China relations. His most recent include Untying the Knot
which talks about the role of the US as mediator is severely restricted by the nature of
the dispute and the relations between the US and Chinese-Taiwan involved.
