http://tinyurl.com/3rpzg Blazers Chat with Jason Quick January 20, 2005 Jason Quick breaks down the team's injury woes, discusses the center situation and much more: Clip 1 - Comment on this statement: The Blazers are as fun to watch now as they have been in a long time. Quick's take:"They've found the right way to play, and that's gonna be through their guards. And even when Zach Randolph and Darius Miles return, Maurice Cheeks has made it clear that...the guards playing a wide- open style is gonna be the way they play even when (the injured players) return." Clip 2 - When Zach returns, will he hurt the new-found chemistry? Quick's take:"I think it's important for Zach to know he doesn't have to carry the entire load..." Clip 3 - When can we expect the injured players to return? Quick's take:"I should pass along Derek Anderson is getting an x-ray on his left hand. Zach, I would say right now, has a better chance of playing Saturday than Darius. (Shareef) is hoping for a five/six week range." Clip 4 - Who gets credit for the increased effort the Blazers are showing: the coaches or the players? Quick's take:"Both. It was smart to take Derek out (of the starting lineup). I think Derek has been struggling and his effort is being questioned now. Once again, (Damon Stoudamire) has shown he's the heart and soul of this team." Clip 5 - Should the Blazers re-sign Damon this summer? Quick's take:"Damon does not want to be in a situation where he's grooming Telfair to take his job." Clip 6 - Is Nick Van Exel playing for a trade? Quick's take:"If you're looking at the future of this team this year, he has certainly increased (the team's trading) options." Clip 7 - Is Paul Pierce the kind of player the Blazers would make something happen to get? Quick's take:"Do I think he's a guy who will vault them into the top-4? No. I really don't." Clip 8 - Is there hope for the future? Quick's take:"If you look to the future of this franchise, the pieces are kind of settling in real nice. They have to be careful at jeopardizing their future just to make a quick fix for this year." Clip 9 - Comments on Joel Przybilla? Quick's take:"He's not only been a nice backup, I think he has been good enough that you can start to talk about making him your starting center three or four years down the road." Clip 10 - Will John Nash's contract be extended? Quick's take:"I would say yes. I just don't think two years has been enough for him to show what he can do." Clip 11 - Keep him or fire him: Where is the "Cheeks Meter" at the moment? Quick's take:"I think right now you'd have to say the needle is going up, back up towards keeping him. He just has a way of getting the most out of (his players) when the situation is most dire." -- 我沒有太多的時間可以翻譯,所以只好上色,有心人士想翻更好 !先感謝了! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 220.136.231.228
