Roy in the clutch

Part of what made Brandon Roy the NBA's Rookie of the Year was his ability to
make the big play in crunch time. Here is a sampling of his late-game
heroics:
Nov. 4, vs. Minnesota: Trailing 86-85, Roy penetrates and passes to Juan
Dixon in the corner for a three-pointer with 6.2 seconds left that completes
a 16-point comeback.
Jan. 6, at Sacramento: In his 14th game as a professional, Roy hits a
fadeaway 15-footer at the buzzer to send the game into overtime. The Blazers
go on to win 110-105, ending a four-game losing streak.
Jan. 21, vs. Milwaukee: With the Blazers clinging to a 96-93 lead, Roy makes
a 7-foot floater with 14.3 seconds left to seal a 99-95 victory at the Rose
Garden.
Jan. 24, vs. Minnesota: Trailing 98-97 with 12.3 seconds left in overtime,
Roy makes two free throws that prove to be the winning margin after Ricky
Davis misses a long jumper. our-game losing streak.
Jan. 27, at Memphis: With the score tied at 123-123 in the second overtime,
Roy scores five consecutive points, the last with 1:10 left to give the
Blazers an insurmountable 128-123 lead.
Jan. 31, vs. Denver: Leading 91-88 in the final minute, Roy penetrates and
remembers advice from Jarrett Jack, who told Roy he had been open in the
corner. Roy finds Jack with a zip pass, and Jack hits a game-sealing
three-pointer with 33.4 seconds left, ending an eight-game losing streak
to the Nuggets. Prior to the pass, Roy scored 15 fourth-quarter points,
tied with Zach Randolph for the most any Blazers player had scored in the
final period this season.
Feb. 2, at Denver: With the Blazers trailing 97-94, Roy hits an off-balance,
leaning three-pointer with 2.5 seconds left at the Pepsi Center to send
the game into overtime. The Blazers lose 114-107.
Feb. 6, vs. Phoenix: Trailing 96-93, Roy again executes one of his growing
weapons: the pass to the corner after penetrating. This time, he finds
Ime Udoka in the corner, and the shot ties the score with 32.6 seconds left.
After Travis Outlaw blows a potential game-winning layup, Roy preserves
the tie when he blocks Leandro Barbosa's 20-foot jumper at the buzzer.
Portland loses 109-102.
Feb. 9, at Charlotte: Trailing 86-83, the Blazers once again turn to Roy, who
missed much of the second half while getting his right hand X-rayed.
Despite taking just one shot after he injured his hand, Roy accepts the
crunch-time responsibility and hits a three-pointer with 8.4 seconds left
to send the game into overtime, and the Blazers win .
Feb. 23, vs. Memphis: Trailing 102-98, Roy hits a three-pointer with 1.4
seconds left to get the Blazers to within 102-101. The Blazers have a chance
to send the game into overtime, but Ime Udoka misses the second of two
free throws with 0.8 seconds left.
March 16, at Los Angeles Lakers: Leading 96-95, Roy makes a driving layup
with 31.2 seconds left, but the heroics are nullified when Kobe Bryant
sends the game into overtime with a three-pointer with 17.2 seconds left.
Bryant goes on to score 65 points, leading the Lakers to the overtime win.
March 20, vs. Washington: Leading 94-93, Roy makes a driving layup with 25.8
seconds left, helping the Blazers hold on for a 100-98 win.
March 23, at Atlanta: Trailing 88-85, Roy hits a three-pointer with 17.3
seconds left to send the game into overtime. In overtime, Roy hits a
key jumper, then seals the 102-100 victory by making two free throws
with 4.3 seconds left.
April 4, vs. Utah: With the score tied at 87-87, Roy puts the Blazers ahead
for good by making two free throws with 1:03 left. He seals the 94-89 victory
by making two more free throws with 6.7 seconds left, capping his career-high,
29-point night.

Roy真的是拓荒者的Mr.Clutch,
Brandon Roy,拓荒者有你真好!
