今天在 Celtics Blog 看到相關的敘述 蠻有趣的
Regarding Telfair, the Trail Blazers were hoping he would fall to them at the
23rd pick. However, when they found out how much Ainge liked Sebastian, they
decided to use the 13th pick on him instead. We all know how that worked out
in the end. Reportedly Ainge is still trying to get a hold of Robert Swift
(who hasn’t been healthy long enough to really show what he’s got).
當年 Celtics 的總管 Ainge 也對 Telfair 情有獨鍾
John Nash 因為這樣所以決定用 13 號簽就先拿了 Telfair 而不是等到第 23 順位
我覺得有趣的是當時 Ainge 對他的喜愛，間接導致拓荒者為了 Telfair 錯過了許多好手
但是兩年後 Ainge 對他仍然念念不忘反而幫拓荒者換到了 Roy
（當然 Celtics 不想再選二三號球員據說也是原因）
