It's a shame we didn't get to see Rudy play out the game (Olympic officiating
is notoriously horrible), but what we did see of one of the newest Blazers
was electric. A couple of observations on Rudy from the game.

Overall, Rudy had a good showing in these Olympic games, but Sunday morning's
game was his most impressive yet. With Jose Calderon out, and Ricky Rubio
hurting his hand at one point, Rudy saw a bit of action at the point
position. And he looked at ease directing the offense. He moves so fluidly
and really handles the ball well with either hand. I'm sure by now you've all
seen the play where Rudy catches Kobe gambling on the steal, blows by, three
dribbles and without missing a step scoops the ball up with his right hand
and explodes to the rim over Dwight Howard. A move you almost have to see to
believe. He covers ground quickly and with ease. He also had no trouble
finding his open teammates, once even hitting a cutting Pau Gasol for the
alley oop. The guy creates offense with or without the ball.

整體來說, Rudy在奧運的比賽都表現不錯, 但禮拜天早上的這場比賽是最令人印象深刻的
。當Calderon缺席, Rubio的手受傷了, Rudy馬上跳出來得分. 而且他看起來在得分上相
當的輕鬆, 移動的很順暢, 並把球處理的很好. 我很確定你們全部都很驚訝當看到Rudy抓
住Kobe一個賭博性的抄球, 切入, 搶先一步的用他的右手在Howard頭上灌爆籃框. 一個幾

Shootingwise, Rudy was phenomenal. He scores so quickly, in bunches. When
he's set, his quick pop and shoot is deadly, especially from behind the arc
where he did plenty of damage last night. But it's not only his shooting and
quick scoring ability that makes him so deadly, is how well he moves without
the ball as well. He never really stands still. Listening to Fox Sports Radio
today, an analyst from NBATV likened Rudy to Reggie Miller and Rip Hamilton
in that respect.

As we saw in these Olympics, Rudy's deceptively athletic and explosive. We
know about the athleticism of Travis Outlaw, Jerryd Bayless and Greg Oden,
but Rudy may be up there as one of the better athletes on the Blazers. It's
going to be exciting to see what he brings to the team. Baron Davis was
impressed with Rudy. TrueHoop points out that Rudy's 22 points came on 13
shots, and not a ton of minutes.

A fantastic game was made even better by the play of Rudy Fernandez, combined
with the final outcome. For me it was the perfect mix, Rudy looked great, and
the US recaptured the gold. And in the end, it was about the name on the
front of the jersey, not the name on the back.

Rudy幫最後一場比賽添色了不少, 加上最後不錯的結果. 對我來說是最好的結合, Rudy表
現出色, 美國隊也重獲金牌. And in the end, it was about the name on the front
of the jersey, not the name on the back. (最後一句不會, 哈哈)
