The Trail Blazers are considering signing former Los Angeles Clippers point
guard Shaun Livingston after top members of the Blazers front office viewed
an hour workout with the 23-year-old point guard Friday in Tucson, Ariz.

looked, or where the Blazers were in the process. Livingston is still
recovering from a devastating injury to his left knee that caused him to miss

against Charlotte, Livingston tore his anterior cruciate ligament, posterior
cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament and lateral meniscus. He also
dislocated his patella. He was averaging 9.5 points and 5.2 assists at the
time of his injury.

roster spot open as they prepare to open training camp on Sept. 30. Three
free agents -- forward Luke Jackson, center Steven Hill and guard Jamaal
Tatum -- have been invited to camp to compete for the final spot. Livingston,
a tall point guard at 6-foot-7, will likely be viewed as a piece that can
help the team in years to come, but not immediately.
