One day after formally announcing his two assistant GMs, Blazers General
Manager Rich Cho continues to re-shape the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Blazers have decided not to renew the contract of shooting coach John
Townsend, according to a source with knowledge of the decision. Townsend
spent the last three seasons with the organization after being hired by
former General Manager Kevin Pritchard.
Townsend was informed of the decision this morning. A team source confirmed
to Blazersedge this afternoon that Townsend is no longer with the
organization, but declined to elaborate on reasons for the move.
