The Blazers made official what Williams told The Oregonian Tuesday night --
he will have surgery on his left shoulder and miss the remainder of the season.
The rookie guard, who dislocated his shoulder March 8 in Boston during a
workout after practice, will undergo a procedure to repair his shoulder capsule
on March 30 in Los Angeles.
The surgery will be performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache at the Kerlan-Jobe
Orthopedic Clinic. Williams said rehabilitation should take three-to-four months
but he hopes to be able to resume shooting two months after the procedure.
