Restricted free agent forward, Nicolas Batum, will meet with the Portland Trail
Blazers this Thursday or Friday in Portland, a league source says.
As a courtesy, Batum wants to hear the Trail Blazers' pitch before he proceeds
to gauge the interest level of other teams, the same source says.
Batum just came off of a visit with the Minnesota Timberwolves in which he met
with owner Glen Taylor, general manager David Kahn, and head coach Rick Adelman.
The source says, “talks went great.”
The New Orleans Hornets and Toronto Raptors are also team's he's expected to
visit later on. The Trail Blazers can match any offer Batum receives out on the
market and offer sheets can't be signed until July 11.
Last season, Batum tallied career highs in points (13.9), rebounds (4.6),
blocks (1.0), and steals (1.0).
