My dear classmates,
How are you doing? It's been a long time since my post last time. I was very
busy in diciding what I should do after I finished my PhD. It's all settled
now. I didn't choose to go to New York, but decided to stay in the UK.
Currently, I'm working as a postdoctoral scientist in the Sanger Institute,
which is only 10 miles outside of Cambridge. So, I don't need to move house
at all. It's a very nice place to work with lots of funding and I have a
complete new project, which is about muscular dystrophy and muscle development
in zebrafish. It seems a bit funny that I've changed from plants to fruit
flies and now to fish. Anyway, I enjoy what I'm doing now. Hope everyone is
the same.
I had my graduation in May and my family came to visit me. We then took a trip
to Tuscany, Italy. It was very enjoyable and relaxing. I've put some photos on
the internet to show you (Http://yungyaolin.pixnet.net). If anyone who would
like to visit me, please let me know. A trip to Europe will also be nice. I
probably will go back to Taiwan at the end of this year. I miss the tasty food
in Taiwan a lot! :)~~~~
