Welly Yang, founder of 2g, surprised a sold-out house of
1,600 in Los Angeles' Royce Hall,
when he proposed to long-time girlfriend Dina Morishita
(star of the Wedding Banquet).
The climactic proposal happened at the end of the curtain
call of his new show "Welly Yang: Finding Home,"
and is said to be a historic first for the 75 year-old concert hall.
The two plan to get hitched in September of 2006 in Los Angeles -
where they plan to make their new home with newly adopted dog Pokie.
The concert was presented by the Taiwanese United Fund.
