Lukasz Piszczek has hernia surgery
Borussia Dortmund full-back Lukasz Piszczek (28), currently sidelined for a
number of months following a planned hip operation in the summer, has used
his recovery time to undergo a hernia repair.
The long-planned surgery took place at the Knappschaft Hospital in Dortmund
on Thursday morning and was performed by Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Karl-Heinz Bauer.
According to BVB team doctor Markus Braun, the operation to both groins will
not delay the Poland international’s healing process.
In June Piszczek underwent hip surgery for damage to the cartilage of the
joint and the femoral head, with an expected total recovery time of about
five months.
