剛好連著三天都有Affymetrix的新聞。
原因在於其產品獲得今年產品研發管理協會 (PDMA)之傑出發明獎的題名，而此產品
又獲得MIT和哈佛採用以進行RNA expression analysis, SNP genotyping and DNA
resequencing等研究。

Affymetrix was selected on the basis of its success in pioneering and
commercializing GeneChip(R) microarrays. By using photolithography and
solid- phase chemistry Affymetrix can produce arrays containing hundreds
of thousands of DNA probes packed at extremely high densities. GeneChip
microarrays have played a key role in helping drive the global genomic
revolution, according to Stan Jankowski, Chair of the OCI Award Selection
Committee and President of N.O.V.A Consulting Co. LLC.
雖然我不沒特別探求生物晶片的發展，不過既然眾多版友都以Affymetrix為指標，因
此拋出一些資料。有興趣的人可以進一步涉獵。
註：PDMA為一從事產業界歷史最久的產品研發調查的非營利組織，產品研發調查概念
是在1968年開始萌芽，PDMA從1990年以來一直從事此項非營利的研究調查工作。
