在不考慮其他因素只考慮 genome size 的前提下
一般細菌的 genome 大概在 400~500 kb 上下
例如常見的
Bacillus subtilis 421 kb
E. coli O157 552 kb
最小又具有獨立生活能力的
Mycoplasma genitalium 58 kb
不具有獨立生活能力完全寄生的例如
Candidatus Carsonella ruddii 只有16kb
而真菌部分
yeast 中最常見的 S. cerevisiae 12Mb, S. pombe 14Mb
黴菌類的
Aspergillus nidulans 30Mb
如果再考慮其他因素的話，真核生物多少還是有更多的麻煩度在
不然光就 size 而論，其實大小就說明了你的問題
