[問題] 請問rpL19的作用是什麼

我在看PAPER的時候  裡面有提到quantitative RT-PCR的實驗
最後的結果用rpL19(ribosome protein L19)去校正

paper裡面的一段話:
A ratio of specific mRNA/rpL19 amplification was then calculated,
to correct for any differences in efficiency at RT.

有誰可以幫我解釋一下  為什麼要用rpL19去校正
