Autoclave: most buffers and salt solutions
           bacterial and yeast media

Do not autoclave:
                  buffers with detergents (SDS)
                  organic solvents (ethanol, acetone, phenol, chloroform)
                  heat labile ingredients (vitamins, hormones, antibiotics,
                                           proteins)
                  HEPES-containing solutions
                  DTT- (dithiothreitol) or BME- (beta-mercaptoethanol)
