其中adipocyte和macrophage做co-culture實驗的部分
一直不太懂

以下為原文
The co-culture of adipocytes andmacrophages was performed
in two different ways as follows.

In the contact system, the differentiated 3T3-L1 and RAW 264.7 macrophages
were independently preincubated with 1,25-(OH)2D3 for 24 h.
Then, the macrophages were plated onto a 3T3-L1 monolayer, incubated
with TNF-alpha(15 ng/mL) for 3 h, and harvested.

In the transwell system, the two types of cells were independently
preincubated with 1,25-(OH)2D3 for 24 h. Then, the
cells were co-cultured using transwell inserts with a 0.4 μm
porous membrane (Dutscher, Issy-les-moulineaux) to separate
the adipocytes from the macrophages. After incubating
with TNF-alpha(15 ng/mL) for 3 h, the cells in the lower well
(adipocytes) were harvested.

問題一：為何要做contact和transewell兩種不同的方式?
問題二：transewell system就是transwell assay嗎?
