That was how he hit in his ROY season, but he's never reached that level
again ever since; instead, he's been declining for the past two seasons.
You could argue he was plauged by some wrist injury in 2002,
but not so much in the preceding season. He's rather healthy this year.

I believe the Jays do plan to move him across the diamond after the signing
of Koskie.
