American duo GNARLS BARKLEY have scored a UK chart double, topping both the
singles and album countdowns.
The hip-hop outfit, comprising GORILLAZ producer DANGER MOUSE and rapper
CEE-LO, notch their fifth week at number one with hit single CRAZY - the first
download only track to top the chart - while their debut album ST ELSEWHERE
takes top position on the album chart after its first week on release. RIHANNA
and INFERNAL occupy numbers two and three with their respective hits SOS and
FROM PARIS TO BERLIN. New entries from RACONTEURS and DIRTY PRETTY THINGS take
fourth and fifth spots with STEADY AS SHE GOES and BANG BANG YOU'RE DEAD com-
pleting the top five singles.
THE X FACTOR winner SHAYNE WARD's eponymous debut album slips to number two,
while rock legend BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN is a new entry on the album chart at number
three with WE SHALL OVERCOME - THE SEEGER SESSIONS. Indie rockers KOOKS fall
one place to number four with INSIDE IN/INSIDE OUT, while MASSIVE ATTACK's
COLLECTED - THE BEST OF also slips one notch to number five.
