綜合來說相當不錯的選手。傳球很強勁，以遊擊手來說守備範圍不算大，但是
具有留在這個位置所需要的「直覺」，防守很可靠。對於他的打擊大家的意見
則不太一致。

: 3) Kyle Kubitza, 3B, Texas State: Strong power, strong plate discipline, bat
: is polished. Has range and arm strength for third base but perhaps not the
: reliability. Hit .310/.446/.558, 54 walks, but an .872 fielding percentage.

長打力強，選球能力不錯，整體來說打擊部份已經鍛練完成。守備範圍和傳球
能力都能擔負起三壘的位置，但是手套工夫還不行。

: 4) J.R. Graham, RHP, Santa Clara: 95-100 MPH fastball, but lasted to the
: fourth round because he's just 6-foot (not a good reason if you ask me) and
: because his breaking ball is mediocre (a better reason, but that could be
: fixable). 3.34 ERA, 45/9 K/BB in 62 IP. Note low K/IP rate.

時速達 95~100 英哩的快速球，掉到第四輪才被選中的原因是身高僅六呎（個
人覺得不是個好理由）且變化球滿糟的（這個理由比較好，但是也不是不能修
正的問題）。

: 5) Nick DeSantiago, C, Blinn JC:  Raw defensively but some scouts like his
: bat, should hit for average and has some power potential. No four-year
: commitment.

防守工夫還不行，但是有些球探喜歡他的打擊能力，應該能有不錯的打擊率，
同時也有可能會長出長打。

: 6) Mark Lamm, RHP, Vanderbilt: Another component on deep Vandy staff, good
: size at 6-4, 215, throws 90-93 MPH, good slider. A senior, could be a
: bargain. 2.03 ERA, 20/3 K/BB in 27 IP.

Vanderbilt 投手群的一員。體型不錯，球速在 Low-90s，滑球不錯。四年級生，
也許是撿到的便宜貨。

: 7) Cody Martin, RHP, Gonzaga: Another senior, low 90s heat, good slider,
: excellent stats. 0.86 ERA, 12 saves, 63/19 K/BB in 52 IP.

另一個四年級生，快速球約在 Low-90s，滑球也不錯，成績非常優異。

: 8) Tommy La Stella, 2B, Coastal Carolina: Might as well be a senior as a
: fourth-year junior. Scouts don't like his glove at second base but he has a
: good swing and good stats. .398/.476/.680, 14 homers, 32 walks, 18 strikeouts.

基本上也是四年級生。球探對於他在二壘位置上的防守能力不怎麼欣賞，但是
他有好的揮棒動作跟成績。

: 9) Chase Larsson, OF, Cameron: Comes from a small school in Oklahoma, led
: NCAA Division II in several offensive categories including SLG. Good power in
: the bat, other tools are mediocre. A junior.

從 Oklahoma 的小學校畢業，在 NCAA Division II 裡的幾項打擊成績都是第
一名。長打能力很好，但是其他方面都不算出色。三年級生。

: 10) Logan Robbins, SS, Western Kentucky: Good arm, enough range for
: shortstop, scouts point to flaws in his swing, which kept him from earlier
: rounds. Hit .286/.371/.427, 20 steals.

傳球能力不錯，防守範圍也足夠扛下遊擊手的位置。球探指出他的揮動動作還
有些問題，所以掉到第十輪。

: OTHERS OF NOTE: SS Seth Moranda (11th round, California HS) was the first
: prep player picked by the Braves this year. He has a strong arm and
: athleticism and is committed to Fresno State. RHP Navery Moore (14th round,
: Vanderbilt) recovered from Tommy John, throws hard, and had a good year as
: Vandy's closer, but a mediocre breaking ball may keep him from closing as a
: pro. He was rated a second-round talent pre-draft and his drop here is a
: mystery. RHP Matt Kimbrel (32nd round, Shelton State CC) is Craig Kimbrel's
: brother. He is recovering from Tommy John surgery and is a good summer follow
: who might boost his stock.

第 11 輪選的遊擊手 Seth Moranda，是勇士今年第一個選入的高中生，他的傳
球能力不錯，運動能力很好，而且已經拿到了 Fresno State 的入學許可。

第 14 輪選的右投手 Navery Moore，從 Tommy John 恢復過來，球速很快，今
年在 Vanderbilt 擔任終結者表現不錯，不過變化球還需要多練練。選秀之前
被預測會在第二輪被選進，怎麼會掉到第 14 輪則是個謎。

第 32 輪選的 Matt Kimbrel 是 Craig Kimbrel 的弟弟，他正從 Tommy John
恢復中，是張樂透。

: SUMMARY: The Braves used to be very high school and upside oriented, but have
: been moving more toward the college ranks in recent drafts, culminating in
: this group which is virtually all college and seemed to eschew upside for
: signability and cost. Gilmartin won't need much time in the minors, I like
: Ahmed, and Graham is very interesting, but this draft is more likely to
: produce role players than stars. It seems likely that financial restrictions
: played a key role here given the bargain hunting in the middle rounds.

結論：

以往勇士隊很著重於從高中生及有天份的球員中選秀，不過已經在最近幾年裡
慢慢轉為從大學生裡找，而且為了簽約的可能性和成本考量而犧牲了天份。
Gilmartin 不會在小聯盟裡打很久，我喜歡 Ahmed，覺得 Graham 很有趣，不
過這次選秀結果比較可能的是未來會有一些能上大聯盟的球員，但不會有多少
明星級的球員。主要的原因是財政上的限制，所以勇士隊只能在中間輪次裡想
辦法找到便宜貨。
